These pieces explore foods and related objects essential to human routine and ritual. They are done in paint and embroidery thread on various substrates.

This piece depicts carrots and their green stems and radishes, done in muted, mostly warm tones. The bare brown panel color is left in the background. Between painting sessions it was scraped down to flatten the texture and build up many layers.
